The Drying Shed Art Space at The Mill Castlemaine is an evolving and vibrant creative space displaying the artists’ diverse artworks, and where regular featured exhibitions are held and during the next month the Drying Shed Art Space studio frontage will undergo a ‘glow up’.
Showcasing an eclectic range of artists in residence, there are two new artists to discover.
Bethia Lord
Bethia is a Castlemaine based artist, currently working primarily with mono printing, using a gel plate and stencils, both made and found.
Bethia’s artworks utilise salvaged papers and often reflect my local area through the use of gathered materials and map making.
She is also a basketmaker, working with lomandra on projects big and small, from large hanging installations to earrings.

Wendy van Dok
Wendy is a farmer amongst artists. She divides her time between growing native trees at Amherst Farm and sculpting wood in an old shearing shed. All pieces are hand made using salvaged native timber.
Pop in and see what’s on show. The artists welcome visitors and are always ready for a chat.
Their current opening hours are:
