Welcome to The Mill
A place for foodies, art admirers and seekers of the collectable and curious.
WITH THE RE-INTRODUCTION OF STAGE 3 RESTRICTIONS, A NUMBER OF BUSINESSES AT THE MILL CASTLEMAINE HAVE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
MANY OF THESE SMALL BUSINESSES HAVE REIMAGINED THEIR OFFERINGS AND YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT WILL BE APPRECIATED.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE BUSINESSES ARE STILL OPEN ON A TAKE AWAY BASIS, CLICK HERE TO SEE HOURS OF OPERATION AND WHAT ELSE IS ON OFFER.
Starting as the Castlemaine Woollen Mill in 1875, and finishing as Victoria Carpets in 2013, The Mill is transforming into a place for food and artisan manufacturing, a part of Castlemaine’s vibrancy.
On-site in our food precinct are individual small businesses: café, coffee roastery, wine, ice-cream, bread, cakes, beer,
smallgoods manufacturer and more to come…
Our artisan precinct includes furniture makers, and metal craftsmen.
Our vintage precinct – home of Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar and Platform No. 5, offers stallholder market-style spaces to sell vintage,
re-purposed, hand-made and second hand goods.
Artist spaces and office spaces are also in use and development.
There is off street parking for 200+ vehicles spread around the site. See map here.
Please forgive us if you come on a day when there is lots of activity – landscaping works will be an ongoing job over the next year.
