Take a deep dive into the art, science and craft of cheesemaking at The Cheese School, a state-of-the-art cheesemaking and training facility at The Mill Castlemaine.

Offering one and two day Beyond Home Cheesemaking courses for cheese enthusiasts, they also work with future professionals (thinking of a career change?) and current professional cheesemakers.

Beyond Home Cheesemaking is a structured hands-on workshop, focusing on what is required to make great artisan cheese at home and beyond – perfect for those who want to learn the basics of the art of cultured cheesemaking.

There are no prerequisites for this course, and anyone can participate. The course offers a whole-system perspective on artisan cheesemaking. You’ll make 2-3 different cheeses, depending on class duration, to take home with you to show off to your friends (the cheeses will vary from class to class).
