As works continue around the site, one major improvement has been creating better driving surfaces in the main car park. Much as we’re all for ‘naturalistic’ surrounds, nature insists on frequently providing the gravel roads with lumps, bumps and big puddles, so we’re tackling the pesky car park lane by lane.
Site works don’t always have to be so practical in nature though. We’ve recently paved an additional area and added seating under the tree outside Sprout Bakery, near Shedshaker Brewing Taproom. We particularly love an artisan with a sense of humour – capturing in stone his reply to the comment a stone paving layer hears most: you must be good at jigsaws/puzzles!
See if you can spot it next time you’re on site.
