What sort of brewery would skip Oktoberfest? Shedshaker will sling a special German inspired lager on the day, which you can sip while listening to the oompa delights of the 140-year-strong Thompson’s Foundry Band!
Then stick around, as at 5pm, a Taproom fave returns – Grim Fawkner is bringing along his mate Alister Turrill for some great tunes and banter.

Expect a raw, unfiltered performance with Katy stripped bare on stage. In an intimate duo setting, the songs are returned to their purest form- voice, piano, guitar and nothing to hide behind. Known for the soaring anthems of Little Birdy and the richly layered production of her solo work, Katy returns to where every song begins, revealing the heart of the music in its purest form.

Join Central Victorian songwriters Lucy Wise, Valley Road and Luke Watt for an evening of heartwarming songs, intricate guitar work and stunning vocal harmonies at Shedshaker Taproom, Castlemaine.
Award-winning songwriter, Lucy Wise blends contemporary folk with pop-inflected melodies, intricate guitar work and poetic lyricism. Long-time friends Bec and Marty (aka Valley Road) appreciate a good harmony, thoughtful instrumentation, and quality songcraft. Most importantly, they value honesty and authenticity in music.
Luke Watt is a folk/blues singer-songwriter and guitar player. With influences including Chris Whitley, Richard Thompson and Kelly Joe Phelps, he draws on elements of folk and blues to convey stories both dark and uplifting.

Drop in to Shed 23 (off the back car park) at The Mill Castlemaine to find out more about the Certificate II in Construction Pathways course being run by Bendigo TAFE in 2027.
This course is for female, non-binary and gender diverse attendees.
